Dear Resident please see below a weekly update of incidents/crimes/good outcomes in relation to the Benfieldside, Blackhill, Bridgehill and Shotley bridge area over the last period.
Local Update 1st July - 11th July On Saturday 4th July a resident on Hope Street has found and abandoned black motorbike in the street. Further enquiries show the vehicle was stolen overnight from the Ebchester Area sometime overnight. If anyone has sighted anything or has any information in regards to these incident please contact Durham Police on 101 and quote crime ref. CRI00692033. On Saturday 4th July a resident of St Mary's Crescent has reported that he vehicle was missing from the front of his house around 0745hrs. The keys were missing and were believed to have been left attached to the house keys in the rear of the front door. The owner has then located the vehicle on John Street at 1046hrs the next day, it has then been seen making off in the direction of Woodlands Road. A crime of theft of a motor vehicle has been recorded, If anyone has sighted anything or has any information in regards to these incident please contact Durham Police on 101 and quote crime ref. CRI00692061. On Wednesday 8th July there have been reports of a 1 green and 1 orange scrambler bikes heading up Durham Road towards no.1 Industrial estate. An area search was conducted with the drone and the vehicles were no trace.
